Plastics
1. HDPE
Polyethylene (Polythene) is one of the world’s most popular plastics.
Flexible, translucent/waxy, weatherproof, good low temperature toughness (to -60’C), easy to process by most methods, low cost, good chemical and corrosion resistance. . Low moisture absorption
• Easy to fabricate and machine. . Low weight.
Applications:
Chemical drums, jerricans, carboys, toys, picnic ware, household and kitchenware, cable insulation, carrier bags, food wrapping material.
2. LLDPE
Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) is a substantially linear polymer (polyethylene), with significant numbers of short branches, commonly made by copolymerization of ethylene with longer-chain olefins.
Applications:
It is used for plastic bags and sheets, plastic wrap, stretch wrap, pouches, toys, covers, lids, pipes, buckets and containers, covering of cables, geomembranes, and mainly flexible tubing.
3. LDPE
LDPE (low density polyethylene) is a thermoplastic made from the monomer ethylene.
• Soft, flexible, lightweight plastic material.
• Low temperature flexibility
• Toughness, and corrosion resistance.
• Easy to process and seal.
• Waterproof.
Applications:
LDPE plastic bags, Light packaging materials: Six-pack rings, waterproof – carton lining, plastic wraps, snap-on lids, Wash bottles, Corrosion protection layer for work surfaces, Computer hardware covers and packaging.
4. PPH
Polypropylene homopolymer (PPH) have low-medium melt flow rate. Film grades have high gloss, grades are also available for food industry.
• Higher strength-to-weight ratio
• Good weldibility and durability
• Greater material stiffness
• Resistance to chemicals and fatigue.
• Electric Insulation for use in electronic devices.
• Available in transparent and opaque.
Applications:
Suitable for applications that require good resistance to impact, corrosion and chemicals, good weldability and processability, and/or food-safe standard compliance.
5. PPRC
PRPC are Co-polymer Random Polypropylene thermoplastic resins produced through the polymerization of propylene.
• Provides extremely high performance under high and low temperatures and pressure conditions.
• Durability and weldibility.
• Carcinogenic-free, environment friendly.
• Resistance to chemicals, rust and corrosion.
• Flexible, unbreakable, portable and easy to lay.
•High clarity/transparent packaging.
APPLICATIONS
Injection molding, blow molding, cast, BOPP and blown film, pipe and thermoforming, acid handling, chemical handling, utilities water, air distributions, radiator heating etc.
6. ICP
A crystalline polymer characterized by highstiffness, excellent impact strength attemperatures. The impact copolymers can be transformed by injection molding, blow molding, film, fiber, sheet extrusion and thermoforming.
Applications
Due to their broad range of properties, impact copolymers from are used in packaging, houseware, film, and pipe applications, as well as in the automotive and electrical segments. Injection molding applications such as batteries, appliances and industrial applications.
7. PVC
Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC or Vinyl) is an economical and versatile thermoplastic polymer widely used in building and construction industry. It is semi rigid, glossy and sinks in water.
Applications:
• Window and door profiles, conservatories and atria
•Pipes and fittings
• Power, data and telecoms wiring and cables
•Cable and services ducting
•Internal and external cladding
•Roofing and ceiling systems and membranes Rainwater, soil and waste systems
•Flooring
•Wallcoverings
• Medical devices
8. PET
Polyethylene terephthalate, commonly abbreviated PET, PETE, or the obsolete PETP or PET-P. Usually clear strong, lightweight plastic, rigid, has good barrier to gas and moisture, mechanical, thermal, and good chemical resistance, excellent electrical insulating properties, shatter-resistant, Used for injection molding, extrusion, blow molding and thermoforming.
Applications Produce films and sheets blow molding used for capacitators, graphics, film base and recording tapes etc, fabrics, automotive, electronics, packaging foods and beverages, tand electrical components and transparent applications.
9. PS
Polystyrene (PS) plastic is a naturally transparent thermoplastic that is available as solid plastic and rigid foam material, easily injection molded, It is rigid, brittle, relatively hard, good electrical properties but has poor chemical and UV resistance. It can also be radiation sterilized, excellent thermal insulation, durable and resistant to water damage.
Applications:
Home appliances, electronics, automobile parts, toys, gardening pots and equipment, thermal insulation, foam, food packaging, medical applictions, walls and roofing, refrigerators and freezers, and industrial cold storage facilities.
10. POE
Polyolefin elastomers (POE) are elastomers based on a polyethylene backbone. They can be used in injection molding, extrusion, film and compounding.
• Wide range of modification functions
• Low density an high flexibility
• High filler loading
• Tear and puncture strength
• Transparency
Applications:
Sound deadening applications impact modification of polypropylene), wire and cable, extruded and moulded goods, film applications, medical goods, adhesives, footwear, Filler masterbatch & compounds, and foams.
