Residue Wax (Foots Oil) is the remaining residue after the process of producing paraffin wax from slack wax is completed, resulting in brown coloured, highly oiled wax (about 50 percent oil content). Foots oil is a byproduct of slack wax after pressing and de-coloring, and it is derived from the manufacture of semi-refined paraffin wax.

The primary applications are in the match industry, hydrophobic impregnation material, raw material for the production of grease lubricants, tyre, rubber, and shoe soil industries, plastic industries, and so on.

To prevent leakage during transportation, residue wax (foots oil) is packed in steel drums, new or used. Because foots oil is oily enough to be unloaded without heating, ISO tanks and flexi tanks are not used for it, and it is also not economical to use this luxury packing for residue wax.
